Paula Abdul makes a comeback

Though some might think it completely uncharacteristic of me, I really liked this song/video when it debuted last week on American Idol.

!Quarantined!

Ugh. The stomach flu is making its rounds in our family. This past weekend Eden lost her appetite. She'd been complaining that her stomach hurt every time she ate. I started thinking maybe she's allergic to something she ate. The next day she started throwing up and spending a lot of time in the bathroom. Poor dear. She's always had a weaker stomach.

Then this morning Britta woke up and didn't have an appetite. When Britta doesn't want to eat you know something is seriously wrong. Sure enough, this afternoon she started making regular trips to the bathroom. Then while Steph and I were watching the IDOL result show Britta came out of her bedroom and headed straight for the bathroom. Thirty minutes later she was throwing up. Her little tummy was stretched tight with gas and it took her a good hour before she was feeling any better.

I hate seeing my girls feel so low. We figure it's only a matter of time before the next person falls victim to the two day stomach flu.

Winter Errands

I was looking through the pictures on my computer last night and found this cute shot of Britta and Avery at the door ready to head out on some errands. Very cute.

Avery Speak

Avery is 22 months old. With two older sisters who have so much to talk about, Avery has been working hard at expressing herself verbally. For those who have spoken with her recently, the following lexicon may help in deciphering some of her more frequently used words and phrases:

"D-D" = Eden
"B-B-Bee" = Britta Bee (our family nickname for Britta)
"B-B-Beoh" = Jingle Bells
"B" = Beads
"Pep-peh" = Pepper (our new black cat)
"Self!" = I'll do it myself
"Ding" = Drink
"Go!-Go!-Go!" = Go! Diego Go! (her previous favorite show)
"Word-Word" = Word World (the new reigning chamption for shows)
"Side" = Outside
"Kan-ee" = Candy
"Gam-ah" = Grandma
"Hung-ee" = Hungry
"Cull" = Cuddle
"Chee" = Mac and Cheese
"Here" = Come here, I want to show you something

I have "special" kids
