Our Christmas tree is still up. We seem to be running five to ten days behind schedule this year. The cold weather came late in November so October didn't seem like it was in fall. Thanksgiving came too early this year so we held onto it until December. Now it's January and we haven't gotten around to putting the decorations away.

Have you ever experienced the six-month slump at a new place? It's the point in time when the newness of your place wears off and you aren't as excited about it. Dishes seem to pile up in the sink more quickly (or stay there longer). How do you get around that? Maybe it's time to move.

I think leaving your tree up is genetic:) there now it will come down in a few minutes huh:)

I think we all lose the urge to clean and take care of things after a certain amount of time. That is why you go out and buy something nice to put in one of those rooms and in order to make that new thing stand out you must clean...."stick to a task til it sticks to you" a quote I had on my blog this past entry and have been trying hard to follow. Don't beat yourself up over not doing everything perfect...RELAX and have FUN! happy new year

you have 3 little reasons on why NOT to clean your house. your kiddos! life gets crazy busy sometimes so don't stress. you could be like me and take your tree down the day after Christmas, talk about a scooge! hey, just be glad you don't have family stopping in all day long, what else do you need a clean house for? :)
