The girls made a list of things they wanted to do this summer. Top of the list was learning how to swim!

The girls enjoyed swimming at the neighborhood pool in Texas about4 times a week. Eden and Britta are really picking up on how to stay above water. Avery thinks she can go straight to diving. She kind of scares us with her fearlessness.

Eden has been practicing swimming with goggles and staying above water without touching the bottom.

Britta loves the diving mask so she doesn't have to bother with plugging her nose. Britta recently discovered that she can do somersaults under water!!

We are thinking that by the beginning of next summer the two older girls should be independent shallow-water swimmers. I think once they get the basic strokes down we'll get them flippers and see how fast they can go!
